Europe lead the USA following the opening day of the The Match athletics competition in Minsk, Belarus by 27 points.
Britain’s Daryll Neita produced a fine run to win the women’s 100m in 11.29 seconds, however the US finished first, second and third in the men’s event.
Alexandra Bell, another athlete, won the 800m however Jake Wightman of the women missing out in a sprint finish.
The event concludes on Tuesday.

Belarus’ Maksim Nedasekau won the high jump by clearing 2.35m, a planet lead for 2019, while USA won the final race of the afternoon – that the men’s 4x100m relay – at a period of 38.26 minutes.
