Justine Kish is about a 3-1 favorite to Conquer Ji Yeon Kim at UFC on FOX 27 on Saturday night.
Kish is 6-1 in her career, but she’s coming off a loss to Felice Herrig in June of last year, although Kim is 6-1-2 and coming off a loss to Lucie Pudilova. This battle is one of six to the FS1 section of the first card card, leading up into a four-fight principal card which features Ronaldo Souza vs. Derek Brunson. Let us look at Kish vs. Kim and UFC picks.

Justine Kish (6-1, 2-1 UFC)
Kish won her first four expert fights before she left her UFC debut in January of 2016. Kish won a unanimous decision against Nina Ansaroff and Kish followed that up with a win over Ashley Yoder at December of 2016. The primary loss for Kish within her career happened in June of this past year, as she lost a unanimous choice to Felice Herrig.
Kish will have the home audience advantage on Saturday, as she fights in Charlotte. “It will make me a little nervous to know so many people from here are going to be coming into the struggle,” said Kish to the Gaston Gazette,”However, to tell the truth, it could be just one person out there or even a thousand people and I’m thinking the same thing. I would like to put on a fantastic show every time.” Kish will be fighting in Charlotte for the next time in her career, as she fought Grady Cole as a recreational in 2007.
Kish stated that she’s been training with longtime coach Jeff Jimmo, to prepare for this fight against Kim. “I typically don’t see a good deal of footage of my opponents,” said Kish,”But I have watched a lot of footage on her. We’ve analyzed it several times and I believe I will have a great strategy.”
Ji Yeo Kim (6-1-2, 0-1 UFC)
Kish has been a specialist since 2013. She struggled to two draws in her first two pro fights and she’s 6-1 since. She has three wins by entry and two by knockout. She has one first round finish.
The lineup on this battle is surprisingly packed with Kish about a 3-1 favorite. I do think the move up in weight will help Kish, as she seemed weak against Herrig and it’s always pleasant to have the house crowd edge. Kim landed some shots from Pudilova within her UFC debut, but still lost a unanimous choice. I lean toward Kish in this struggle, but I believe it will be a competitive fight and I am definitely not comfortable laying 3-1 in a struggle I believe will be shut. I think playing with the rounds would be the better way to go. The rounds choice is listed at 2.5 using the more recorded at -260. Neither one of both of these fighters have much electricity, and I can’t see either one getting an end unless one of these makes a significant error and gets trapped in a hold. I will take the rounds to cover the total.
