Nothing But Net? Not Quite Yet For Golden Nugget, But NBA Betting Is On The Horizon

We interrupt this NFL period for some NBA wagering news that is dividing.
Golden Nugget has moved one step closer to using its NBA gaming ban increased.
New Jersey Assembly Bill A5463 passed both houses by a 26-1 vote. Here is the summary of what the bill encompasses:
Owner of 10 percent or more of member group of athletics governing body accept or to place wagers on sports events in which member teams engage.

When the bill is signed by Gov. Phil Murphy, NBA wagering can begin at Golden Nugget, which has remained on the sidelines throughout basketball gambling since launching.
The initial NJ sports legislation did not allow casino proprietors to provide wagering if they owned a team in that sport. This included any internet skins or spouses. ??
Tilman Fertitta, who owns the Golden Nugget and NBA’s Houston Rockets, was the AC casino proprietor affected by this rule.
Because of this, Golden Nugget and its partners that are online BetAmerica and PlaySugarHouse couldn’t reap the advantages of NBA betting in New Jersey.
Finally, in order to provide NBA odds, SugarHouse decided to change partners. It moved in October 2018 into the permit of Monmouth Park.
Loosening the restrictions means Golden Nugget sportsbook and BetAmerica NJ are looking in through pro basketball.
Under the new bill, Golden Nugget and partner BetAmerica sportsbook that is online can take stakes. Those between James Harden, Russell Westbrook and the Rockets will stay off-limits.
This is similar to the restriction placed on Golden Nugget’s sports betting in Nevada.
However, although the Nugget waits for Murphy’s stamp of approval, NBA gambling is still a few months apart from tipoff.
Until then, there are loads of US Open, college football, and MLB wagering opportunities.
